"At night astronomers agree."

–Matthew Prior

REQUESTS FOR CAA SERVICES

We promote the study of astronomy and related sciences through free educational programs, presentations and guided observing sessions at regularly scheduled open public nights. We also offer special programs available to community organizations, Scouting Events, church groups, youth groups, local schools, colleges and universities by special arrangement. Refer to the group visitor reservation form for details.

Although members of the CAA are passionate about astronomy and love to share their interest with others, other responsibilities may limit their availability. To ensure that the society is able to meet your group's needs, please contact us at least one month in advance of the proposed event date.

All requests are typically processed at the CAA monthly meetings, which take place on the first Thursday of the month. As soon as the proposed event is discussed, a member of the CAA will contact each group to make further arrangements.

The Cedar Amateur Astronomers is an all-volunteer organization so please be aware that the society's ability to fulfill requests for events is dependent upon the availability of society members, the timeliness of the request, and the number of other commitments in a given month.

To arrange a special event with the Cedar Amateur Astronomers, please use the contact information listed below to make your request. If you have communicated with an observatory representative and are ready to make a reservation, you may download the Group Visitor Reservation Form here (97kB PDF).
